Specific Accountabilities will include:
Continually creating and maintaining 18-month rolling demand plans by obtaining and incorporating inputs from Customer & Brand Development;
Analyzing historical volume trends and influence of key demand drivers on future demand, and using the results in creating the demand plan;
Identifying root causes of forecast inaccuracies and eliminating them;
Preparing for and facilitating Volume Review process and meetings;
Working closely with respective Category Managers and Category Trade Managers to understand brand plans, activities, and their impact on future demand; supporting innovation plans;
Working with Supply Planning, Customer Service and other areas of supply chain in effectively servicing actual demand and supporting the S&OP process;
Proactively participating with Supply Planning & Category Trade Managers to mitigate excess inventory & prevent potential write-offs.
The ideal candidate would have an undergraduate degree and 3 to 4 years of Sales, and/or Supply Chain experience. Knowledge of statistical forecast methods and previous experience in forecasting and/or related systems/processes are definite assets.
Excellent analytical, communication, interpersonal and project management skills are critical elements for success in this position. A good working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite – primarily Excel would be essential.

SUPPLY PLANNER - HPC
There is an opening within the HPC Forecasting and Planning Department at our Head Office location in Toronto for a Supply Planner. Reporting directly to the Forecasting & Planning Manager-HPC, specific responsibilities will include the following:
Maintain SAP system accuracy with emphasis on component and production planning, inventory control, and customer service.
Develop, maintain, and issue valid delivery schedules
Develop, maintain, and issue valid material requirements plans and master production schedules
Develop relationships with local cross functional and cross border team members to ensure timely and efficient supply of product to meet business requirements
Provide planning support for relevant category innovation and non innovation activities where required
Provide planning support for relevant category TBP activities where required.
The ideal candidate will possess a university degree or a college diploma with experience in a planning environment. Exposure to logistics, marketing, purchasing, and/or development would also be an asset. Enrollment in or completion of APICS Certificate in Production & Inventory Management or Fundamentals of Materials and Operations Management would be preferred. Knowledge of SAP is a definite asset. The candidate should be highly literate in the use of Excel spreadsheets and should possess sound knowledge of Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint.
The candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills. An analytical aptitude and the ability to solve problems and understand product structures and relationships are a necessity.
